Shepherd School Logo

In Season Three as you study and are trained in proper Ecclesiology and Godliness (see syllabus), you will read from Gospel Worship by Jeremiah Burroughs, The Reformed Pastor by Richard Baxter, The Family Altar by Oliver Heywood, Duties of Christian Fellowship by John Owen, as well as Heaven Taken By Storm by Thomas Watson.

In addition to the weekly reading assignments, you will be taught from the Scriptures in an expository manner as well as from the 1689 Baptist Confession of Faith. Each week both the expository sermon as well as the confessional teaching will focus primarily on one of the doctrines that has just been covered in book 1 or 2 of the reading assignment.

Finally you will be trained to rightly divide the word of truth as you write essays and expositions of Scripture concerning Ecclesiology (The Church) and Personal Godliness (The Man).
*essays and exposition are for the certificate path only
